Uses & Indications

Storage Requirements

Side Effects

Common side effects include hyperuricemia, upper respiratory tract infection, muscle spasms, back pain, abdominal pain or discomfort, bronchitis, pain in extremity, anemia, and elevated liver enzymes.

Contraindications & Precautions

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bempedoic acid or any of its components.

Important Warnings

Use with caution in patients with a history of tendon disorders or those taking medications known to increase the risk of tendon rupture. Monitor liver function tests prior to initiation and as clinically indicated thereafter. Hyperuricemia may occur; monitor uric acid levels in patients with a history of gout.
