About Brompheniramine Maleate,Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride
Class: | Antihistamine and Decongestant Combination
Use: | Relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, hay fever, and the common cold, including nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy/watery eyes.
Adult dose: | 10 mg of Brompheniramine Maleate and 30 mg of Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride every 4 to 6 hours as needed; do not exceed 60 mg of Brompheniramine and 240 mg of Pseudoephedrine in 24 hours.
Pediatric dose: | For children 6 to 12 years: 5 mg of Brompheniramine Male

Dosage Information
Adult Dose
10 mg of Brompheniramine Maleate and 30 mg of Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride every 4 to 6 hours as needed; do not exceed 60 mg of Brompheniramine and 240 mg of Pseudoephedrine in 24 hours.
Pediatric Dose
For children 6 to 12 years: 5 mg of Brompheniramine Maleate and 15 mg of Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride every 4 to 6 hours as needed; do not exceed 30 mg of Brompheniramine and 120 mg of Pseudoephedrine in 24 hours. Not recommended for children under 6 years.
Side Effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and increased heart rate.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity to brompheniramine, pseudoephedrine, or any component of the formulation; severe hypertension; severe coronary artery disease; and concurrent use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Important Warnings
May cause drowsiness; caution when driving or operating machinery. Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants. Use with caution in patients with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, or thyroid disorders. Consult a healthcare provider before use in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
