Use: | Treatment of hypocalcemia, hyperkalemia, hypermagnesemia, and calcium channel blocker overdose.
Adult dose: | 10-20 mL of 10% solution (equivalent to 1-2 g of calcium gluconate) administered intravenously, repeated every 1-3 days as needed.
Pediatric dose: | 200-500 mg/kg/day of calcium gluconate divided into 4-6 doses, administered intravenously; maximum single dose should not exceed 1 g.
