Dosage Information

Adult Dose

Initial dose: 600 mg IV on week 1, followed by 900 mg IV every 14 days

Pediatric Dose

Side Effects

Headache, nausea, fever, fatigue, diarrhea, upper respiratory tract infections, and infusion-related reactions

Contraindications & Precautions

Hypersensitivity to eculizumab or any component of the formulation; meningococcal infection (active or history)

Important Warnings

Increased risk of meningococcal infections; patients should be vaccinated against Neisseria meningitidis at least 2 weeks prior to treatment; monitor for signs of infection and consider prophylactic antibiotics in at-risk patients
