Use: | Indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control in adults, as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
Adult dose: | Initial dose is 2.5 mg of Ertugliflozin and 1000 mg of Metformin hydrochloride taken orally once daily, with the option to increase to a maximum of 5 mg of Ertugliflozin and 2000 mg of Metformin hydrochloride based on glycemic control and tolerability.

Dosage Information
Adult Dose

Pediatric Dose

Side Effects
Common side effects include urinary tract infections, genital mycotic infections, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and increased urination.
Contraindications & Precautions
Contraindicated in patients with a history of serious hypersensitivity to Ertugliflozin or Metformin, severe renal impairment (eGFR < 30 mL/min), acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis, and in patients with a history of lactic acidosis.
Important Warnings
Risk of lactic acidosis, particularly in patients with renal impairment, dehydration, or other conditions that may predispose to lactic acidosis. Monitor renal function prior to initiation and periodically thereafter. Caution in patients with a history of urinary tract infections or genital infections.
