About Granisetron Hydrochloride
Class: | Antiemetic, 5-HT3 receptor antagonist
Use: | Prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy and radiation therapy; prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting
Adult dose: | 1 mg orally 1 hour before chemotherapy; may be followed by 1 mg every 12 hours for up to 2 days after chemotherapy
Pediatric dose: | 0.01 mg/kg (up to 1 mg) orally 1 hour before chemotherapy; may be repeated every 12 hours for up to 2 days
