About Ixekizumab
Class: | Interleukin-17A antagonist
Use: | Treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults, active psoriatic arthritis in adults, and ankylosing spondylitis in adults.
Adult dose: | Initial dose of 160 mg (two 80 mg injections) at week 0, followed by 80 mg at week 2, then 80 mg every 4 weeks.
Pediatric dose: | Safety and efficacy not established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age.
Side effects: | Injection site reactions, upper respiratory infections, nausea, headache
