About Luspatercept
Class: | Erythroid maturation agent
Use: | Treatment of anemia in adult patients with beta-thalassemia who require regular red blood cell transfusions and in adult patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) associated with ring sideroblasts
Adult dose: | 1 mg/kg administered subcutaneously every 3 weeks; may be increased to 1.5 mg/kg based on response and tolerability
Pediatric dose: | Safety and efficacy not established in pediatric patients
Side effects: | Fatigue, headache, arthral
