About Opicapone
Class: | COMT inhibitor
Use: | Adjunctive treatment to optimize "off" time in patients with Parkinson's disease who are on stable doses of levodopa alone or in combination with other Parkinson's disease medications.
Adult dose: | 50 mg taken orally once daily at bedtime, with the last dose of levodopa taken at least 1 hour before.
Pediatric dose: | Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients have not been established; not recommended for use in children.
