Class: | Antitussive (cough suppressant)
Use: | Relief of dry cough associated with minor throat and bronchial irritation
Adult dose: | 5 to 10 mg (5 to 10 ml) taken three times daily, not to exceed 30 mg (30 ml) in 24 hours
Pediatric dose: | Not recommended for children under 6 years; for children 6 to 12 years, 2.5 to 5 mg (2.5 to 5 ml) taken three times daily
