Dosage Information
Adult Dose
The standard adult dose for active duodenal ulcers is 150 mg twice daily or 300 mg once daily after the evening meal or at bedtime. For maintenance therapy, the dose is typically 150 mg once daily at bedtime. For GERD, the usual dose is 150 mg twice daily.
Pediatric Dose
For children aged 1 month to 16 years, the typical dose is 2 to 4 mg/kg twice daily, not to exceed 300 mg per day. Dosing should be individualized based on the condition being treated and the child's response.
Side Effects
