About Vericiguat micronized
Class: | Soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) stimulator
Use: | Vericiguat is indicated to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and heart failure hospitalization following a hospitalization for heart failure or need for outpatient intravenous diuretics in adults with symptomatic chronic heart failure and ejection fraction less than 45%.
Adult dose: | The recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg orally once daily with food. Double the dose approximately every 2 weeks to reach the target maintenance

Dosage Information
Adult Dose
The recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg orally once daily with food. Double the dose approximately every 2 weeks to reach the target maintenance dose of 10 mg once daily, as tolerated by the patient.
Pediatric Dose
Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients.
Side Effects
Common side effects include hypotension, anemia, and dizziness.
Contraindications & Precautions
Contraindicated in patients with concomitant use of other soluble guanylate cyclase stimulators or phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors, and in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
Important Warnings
Monitor blood pressure regularly as vericiguat can cause symptomatic hypotension. Use caution in patients with volume depletion or severe renal impairment. Avoid use during pregnancy due to potential harm to the fetus.
