About Adrenaline Bitartrate

Use: | Treatment of anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, severe asthma exacerbations, and as a vasoconstrictor in local anesthesia
Adult dose: | 0.3 to 0.5 mg (0.3 to 0.5 mL of 1:1000 solution) intramuscularly every 5 to 15 minutes as needed for anaphylaxis; for cardiac arrest, 1 mg (10 mL of 1:10,000 solution) intravenously every 3 to 5 minutes during resuscitation

Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity to adrenaline or any component of the formulation; narrow-angle glaucoma; shock (other than anaphylactic shock); cardiac arrhythmias; coronary artery disease
Important Warnings
Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, and those on monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs); may cause severe hypertension and arrhythmias; monitor blood pressure and heart rate during administration
