Side Effects
Common side effects include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, and dizziness.
Contraindications & Precautions
Contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Atovaquone, Proguanil hydrochloride, or any component of the formulation; also contraindicated in severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL/min).
Important Warnings
Use with caution in patients with renal impairment; may cause liver enzyme elevations; not recommended for use in pregnancy unless clearly needed; potential for drug interactions with other medications.
