Dosage Information

Adult Dose

For malaria prophylaxis: 500 mg (two 250 mg tablets) once weekly; for treatment of malaria: 1,000 mg (four 250 mg tablets) initially, followed by 500 mg (two 250 mg tablets) at 6, 24, and 48 hours after the initial dose

Pediatric Dose

For malaria prophylaxis: 5 mg/kg (maximum 500 mg) once weekly; for treatment of malaria: 10 mg/kg (maximum 1,000 mg) initially, followed by 5 mg/kg at 6, 24, and 48 hours after the initial dose
