                        Side Effects
                    
                    Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, headache, fatigue, abdominal pain, and weight gain. Serious side effects may include liver problems, kidney problems, and lactic acidosis.
                 
             
         
        
        
            
                Contraindications & Precautions
            
            Contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to emtricitabine, tenofovir alafenamide, or any component of the formulation. Caution is advised in patients with pre-existing renal impairment.
         
        
        
            
                Important Warnings
            
            Important safety warnings include the risk of lactic acidosis, severe liver problems, and acute exacerbation of hepatitis B in patients with a history of hepatitis B virus infection upon discontinuation.
