Dosage Information

Adult Dose

Anaphylaxis: 0.1 mg (1 mL of 0.1 mg/mL solution) IV over 5 minutes; Cardiac arrest: 1 mg (10 mL of 0.1 mg/mL solution) IV every 3-5 minutes during resuscitation

Pediatric Dose

Anaphylaxis: 0.01 mg/kg (0.1 mL/kg of 0.1 mg/mL solution) IV, not to exceed 0.5 mg per dose; Cardiac arrest: 0.01 mg/kg (0.1 mL/kg of 0.1 mg/mL solution) IV every 3-5 minutes

Palpitations, tachycardia, anxiety, headache, dizziness, sweating, nausea, vomiting

Contraindications & Precautions

Hypersensitivity to epinephrine or any component of the formulation; use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes

Use with caution in patients with severe hypertension, arrhythmias, or cerebrovascular disease; may cause severe hypertension or arrhythmias; monitor blood pressure and heart rate during administration
