About Epoetin Alfa (EPOTIN)

Use: | Treatment of anemia due to chronic kidney disease, chemotherapy-induced anemia, and anemia in HIV-infected patients on zidovudine therapy.  
Adult dose: | 50 to 100 IU/kg subcutaneously or intravenously 3 times weekly, adjusted based on hemoglobin levels.  
Pediatric dose: | 50 to 100 IU/kg subcutaneously or intravenously 3 times weekly, adjusted based on hemoglobin levels; safety and efficacy not established in children under 1 year.

                Contraindications & Precautions
            
            Uncontrolled hypertension, pure red cell aplasia following previous treatment with Epoetin Alfa, and hypersensitivity to Epoetin Alfa or any component of the formulation.
         
        
        
            
                Important Warnings
