Storage Requirements
Store the powder for solution for injection at room temperature, between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Protect from light and moisture. Reconstituted solutions should be used immediately or stored according to the manufacturer's guidelines.

Dosage Information
Adult Dose
The standard adult dose is 40 mg once daily by intravenous injection over a period of 3 minutes or by intravenous infusion over 10 to 30 minutes. The duration of treatment is typically up to 10 days, after which oral therapy should be considered.
Pediatric Dose
For children aged 1 to 17 years with GERD, the dose is based on body weight: 10 mg for those weighing less than 20 kg and 20 mg for those weighing 20 kg or more, administered once daily by intravenous injection or infusion. The duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days.
Side Effects
Common side effects include headache, diarrhea, nausea, flatulence, abdominal pain, constipation, and dry mouth.
Contraindications & Precautions
Esomeprazole Sodium is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole, substituted benzimidazoles, or any component of the formulation. It should not be used concomitantly with nelfinavir.
Important Warnings
Long-term use may lead to an increased risk of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, osteoporosis-related fractures, and hypomagnesemia. Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment. Monitor for signs of acute interstitial nephritis and vitamin B12 deficiency with prolonged use.
