Class: | Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM)
Use: | Indicated for the treatment of ovulatory dysfunction in women who wish to become pregnant; also used off-label for male infertility and certain cases of hypogonadism.
Adult dose: | 50 mg orally once daily for 5 days, starting on the 5th day of the menstrual cycle; may increase to 100 mg if ovulation does not occur after the first course.
