Adult dose: | Sodium Nitrite: 300 mg (3 mL of 100 mg/mL solution) IV over 2-4 minutes; Sodium Thiosulfate: 12.5 g (50 mL of 250 mg/mL solution) IV over 30 minutes
Pediatric dose: | Sodium Nitrite: 5 mg/kg IV (up to a maximum of 300 mg); Sodium Thiosulfate: 150 mg

Side Effects

Contraindications & Precautions
Known hypersensitivity to sodium nitrite or sodium thiosulfate; use with caution in patients with anemia or respiratory insufficiency
Important Warnings
Risk of methemoglobinemia; monitor blood pressure and oxygen saturation; not for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to nitrites; use cautiously in patients with cardiovascular disease
