Dosage Information

Adult Dose

Dissolve the contents of one packet (13.5 g ORS-Dextrose, 2.6 g ORS-Sodium Chloride, 2.9 g Sodium Citrate, 1.5 g Potassium Chloride) in 1 liter of clean water. Administer as needed, typically 200-400 mL after each loose stool or as directed by a healthcare provider.

Pediatric Dose

For children, the same packet can be dissolved in 1 liter of clean water. Administer 50-100 mL/kg of body weight over 4-6 hours for rehydration, or as directed by a healthcare provider.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Rarely, allergic reactions may occur.

Contraindications & Precautions
