About Cholestyramine
Class: | Bile acid sequestrant
Use: | Used to lower cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and to relieve pruritus associated with partial biliary obstruction.
Adult dose: | 4 g to 16 g per day, taken in divided doses, mixed with water or other non-carbonated liquids.
