About Tamsulosin Hydrochloride
            
            Class: | Alpha-1 adrenergic blocker
Use: | Tamsulosin Hydrochloride (TAMICTOR) is primarily used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) to improve urination in men.
Adult dose: | The standard adult dose is 0.4 mg orally once daily, approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day. If there is no adequate response after 2 to 4 weeks, the dose may be increased to 0.8 mg once daily.
Pediatric dose: | Tamsulosin is not indicated for use in pediatric patients.

Patients should be cautioned about driving or operating machinery until they know how the medication affects them.
