About Epinephrine Bitartrate

Use: | Treatment of anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, severe asthma attacks, and as a vasoconstrictor in local anesthetics
Adult dose: | 0.3 to 0.5 mg (0.3 to 0.5 mL of 1:1000 solution) intramuscularly every 5 to 15 minutes as needed for anaphylaxis; for cardiac arrest, 1 mg (10 mL of 1:10,000 solution) intravenously every 3 to 5 minutes during resuscitation

Important Warnings
Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes; may cause significant hypertension and tachycardia; overdose can lead to serious adverse effects including myocardial ischemia and cerebral hemorrhage.
