Uses & Indications

Treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus (including MRSA) and Streptococcus pyogenes; also used for bacteremia and endocarditis caused by Staphylococcus aureus.

Storage Requirements

Store at room temperature (20-25°C or 68-77°F); protect from light; reconstituted solution should be used within 24 hours if stored at room temperature or within 48 hours if refrigerated.

Dosage Information

Adult Dose

4 mg/kg IV once daily for skin infections; 6 mg/kg IV once daily for bacteremia and endocarditis.

Pediatric Dose

Side Effects
