About Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide
Class: | Antitussive (cough suppressant)
Use: | Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is used to relieve cough caused by minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with the common cold or inhaled irritants.
Adult dose: | 10-20 mg every 4 hours as needed, not to exceed 120 mg per day.
Pediatric dose: | For children 6-12 years: 5-10 mg every 4 hours as needed, not to exceed 60 mg per day. For children under 6 years, consult a physician.
Side effects: | Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiti

Dosage Information
