About Cotrimoxazole
Class: | Antibiotic (Combination of Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim)
Use: | Treatment of bacterial infections including urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, and certain types of gastrointestinal infections; also used for prophylaxis against Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia in immunocompromised patients.
Adult dose: | 1 tablet (480 mg) orally every 12 hours for 5 to 14 days, depending on the infection being treated.
Pediatric dose: | For children over 2 months: 6 to 12 mg/kg/

Dosage Information
