About Cefepime Hydrochloride
Class: | Cephalosporin antibiotic
Use: | Treatment of moderate to severe infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and intra-abdominal infections.
Adult dose: | 1 to 2 g IV every 8 to 12 hours, depending on the severity of the infection and renal function.
Pediatric dose: | 50 mg/kg IV every 8 to 12 hours for children over 2 months of age; maximum dose is 2 g per dose.

Dosage Information
