About Stavudine

Use: | Treatment of HIV-1 infection in combination with other antiretroviral agents
Adult dose: | 30 mg twice daily or 40 mg once daily, depending on body weight and renal function
Pediatric dose: | Not recommended for children under 2 years; for children 2 years and older, dosing is based on weight: 1 mg/kg (up to a maximum of 30 mg) twice daily
