About Colistimethate Sodium

Use: | Treatment of infections caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria, particularly Pseudomonas aeruginosa, in patients with cystic fibrosis or other conditions.  
Adult dose: | 2.5 to 5 mg/kg/day divided into 2 to 4 doses, administered intravenously or nebulized; maximum dose should not exceed 5 mg/kg/day.
