Use: | Treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) in adults and chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) in adults
Adult dose: | 72 mcg taken orally once daily, at least 30 minutes before the first meal of the day
Pediatric dose: | Not approved for use in pediatric patients under 18 years of age
Side effects: | Diarrhea, abdominal pain, flatulence, and bloating
Contraindications: | Known or suspected mechanical gastrointestinal obs
