About Linaclotide

Use: | Treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) and chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC)
Adult dose: | 145 mcg taken orally once daily, at least 30 minutes before the first meal of the day
Pediatric dose: | Not approved for use in pediatric patients under 6 years; safety and efficacy not established in patients 6 to 17 years
