Dosage Information
Adult Dose
The standard adult dose is 10 mg once daily, with or without food.
Pediatric Dose
Ezetimibe is not recommended for use in pediatric patients under 10 years of age. For children aged 10 to 17 years, the recommended dose is also 10 mg once daily.
Side Effects
Common side effects include abdominal pain, diarrhea, fatigue, headache, and muscle pain.
Contraindications & Precautions
Ezetimibe is contraindicated in patients with active liver disease, including unexplained persistent elevations of hepatic transaminase levels, and in patients who are hypersensitive to the drug or any of its components.
