About Semaglutide
Class: | GLP-1 receptor agonist
Use: | Indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control, and for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight with at least one weight-related comorbidity.

Dosage Information
Adult Dose

Contraindications & Precautions
Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), and hypersensitivity to semaglutide or any of its components.
Important Warnings
Risk of thyroid C-cell tumors, pancreatitis, renal impairment, and hypoglycemia when used with insulin or sulfonylureas. Not recommended for use in patients with a history of severe gastrointestinal disease.
