Class:|Carbapenem antibiotic combination. Use:|Treatment of severe bacterial infections including complicated intra-abdominal infections, severe pneumonia, and infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms. Adult dose:|500 mg of imipenem and 500 mg of cilastatin every 6 to 8 hours, depending on infection severity and renal function. Pediatric dose:|15 mg/kg of imipenem and cilastatin every 6 hours, not exceeding 2 g/day, for children over 3 months old. Side effects:|Nausea, vomiting
