Dosage Information

Adult Dose

8 mg administered 30 minutes before chemotherapy, followed by 8 mg every 8 hours for up to 24 hours; for postoperative nausea and vomiting, 16 mg administered 1 hour before anesthesia

Pediatric Dose

For children aged 6 months to 17 years, 0.15 mg/kg (up to a maximum of 8 mg) administered 30 minutes before chemotherapy, followed by 0.15 mg/kg every 4 hours for up to 24 hours

Contraindications & Precautions

Hypersensitivity to ondansetron or any component of the formulation; use with caution in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias or electrolyte imbalances
